The fight between former President Donald Trump and Vice-President Kamala Harris has exposed deep divisions in American society and fundamentally different ideas about what America is and should be. This lecture will analyze the presidential election, the candidates, and their political ideas. We will also discuss what the future holds for America’s role in the world and how the result of the election will mean internationally in terms of the climate crisis, economics, and peace.
